"Basic" Natively CD-ROMs Updates

Like all software suppliers, we regularly update our products to take into account changes in operating systems, and in machine hardware and drivers.

We have identified an incompatibility between Microsoft Vista and previous versions of Windows that can result in errors such as "MCI Error: There is no driver installed on your system" when running "Basic" Natively CD-ROMs

If you are experiencing this problem on Vista, or any other difficulties with "Basic" Natively CD-ROMs any version of Windows, then please try the following:

  1. Start by downloading the latest updates to the program using the links below. Double-click to open the ZIP file then run the enclosed EXE.

  2. If this doesn't fix the problem, try downloading and installing the latest DirectX from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx
    and the latest Windows Media Player from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia
  3. Finally, try downloading and installing the latest video and sound drivers for your computer from the manufacturers' sites.
